I don't have uplay copy of the game so i can't confirm if that is the right path to find the folder or not So just move the "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" folder into the steam common folder It should do what GTA 5 does and recognize all the game files in the folder and only download the exe again which takes like a minute max even if you have trash internetĪgain, i've never tried it work siege but it works with GTA 5 fine, i don't really see any reason why it shouldn't work if you've bought siege on steamĮdit: apparently the default uplay install path is:Ĭ:\Program Files\Ubisoft\Ubisoft Game Launcher\games\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege Then drag and drop all the files from the uplay install into the steam folder for rainbowĬ:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siegeīut depends where you install it on steam, it will ask where you want to install the game when you start the download on steamĭelete the RainbowSix.exe then carry on installing siege on steam Then find where you have rainbow 6 installed with uplay from the free weekend So try this, Start installing the game on steam but pause it as soon as it starts downloading I know it works for GTA, no idea if it works for siege Would i need to use a different hard drive for it? Ok so i'm assuming you bought the game on steam yea? So you could try delete the rainbow6.exe then set your steam download path to where the uplay copy of the game is and see if it works. So what i did with GTA, i had the social club version of the game and wanted the steam version without downloading it all againĪll i did was set the steam download path to the social club install of the game and deleted the exe for the game.
